Fees

  1. Material Fee: We charge a $3 Material Fee for all Lush Baths and Grooms. The material fee helps cover the costs of the best supplies and materials for your pet. It is not a service fee or a gratuity.

  2. Cancelation Fee: As a small business, it is important that we fill every appointment opening to help keep our doors open. Therefore, if you no call/no show or cancel less than 24 hours from the appointment, there may be a $20 cancelation fee. Our cancellation policy is 24 hrs. notice to provide us ample time to fill that appointment opening. We do know that emergencies happen, and we are happy to work with you in these situations but not on a continued basis. Constant "No Shows", late cancellations or perpetual re-scheduling may prevent us from booking future appointments with you and your pets.

  3. Re-bathing Fee: Please walk your pet and allow them to go to the bathroom prior to appointment as grooming typically takes 2-4 hours. A fee of $20 may be applied if the dog needs to be rewashed.

  4. Late Pick-up Fee: We close at 5p. If a pet is quoted a pick-up time before 5 o'clock and a client does not pick up before closing, a fee of $40 may be applied to the pet's groom. Groomers will provide an estimated time at the time of drop off and a 20-minute notice to allow for travel time to pick up your pet. We respect our groomers’ time and expect you to do the same.

Grooming

  1. We require an up to date Rabies vaccination for dogs to utilize our Grooming services. Vaccine must be administered at least 2 days prior to service.

  2. Please check-in promptly for your appointment. Late arrivals after 15 mins may need to be rescheduled. Please call to let us know if you are running late and we will let you know whether we can still do the appointment. Every effort will be made to keep our schedule running smoothly. A typical Lush Bath can be completed in 2 to 3 hours and a Lush Groom can be completed in 2 to 4 hours. If your dog has behavior issues or skin/coat problems, you may be looking at a longer period.

  3. Please check-out promptly after your service. Please note that we have a limited number of kennels.

  4. If it is necessary, for the safety of your dog and our team, muzzles, slings, and or loops will be humanely used. Please inform us if your dog bites. If your dog does not respond to the Groomer and remain still during the service, be aware that accidents can happen such as nicks from clippers, scissors, or toenail trimmers. If you arrive early to pick up your dog and they are still being serviced, please do not try to get your dog’s attention. An excited dog can be dangerous to work on.

  5. If fleas are found on your dog, the Groomer will administer a flea bath to eradicate the fleas to maintain Grooming Salon sanitation. This is at the Groomer’s discretion and at the Owner's expense.

  6. We understand that some dogs are extremely sensitive to certain grooming services such as nail trimming and/or ear cleaning. It is not our intent to cause your dog discomfort. Although these are routine services normally performed, we will not continue any service that will cause discomfort to the dog or harm to the Groomer. For a more sensitive dog, these services are best left to the care of a veterinarian.

  7. We will use extra care and patience with older dogs; however, we will not be held responsible for any reaction due to the mental or physical stress of grooming. If in our judgment, brushing or clipping is determined to cause too much stress to an older dog, we will modify or end the service. Please be sure to notify us of any health conditions that might make your dog uncomfortable during the service.

  8. Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health problems including hot spots, irritated skin, and bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks, maggots, and other parasites may lurk in the coat causing further skin infections. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your dog when they move or lay on mats. Matted coats will not dry properly and can lead to rotting fur and skin.
Due to matting, your dog's hair may need to be shaved extremely short to the skin and may show signs of skin irritation and sores due to matting, wet undercoat, and dirty undercoat. In order, to take care of a dog that has not been groomed often enough and is matted, the required grooming session may be long, stressful, or painful.

Please note, more than one grooming session may be required for a matted dog. Our goal is to make your dog’s grooming experience as stress free as possible. Where feasible, we work to de-mat/brush out the dog's coat, but only when it would not cause excessive pain and suffering to attempt to do so. There is a chance that your dog’s skin will become irritated during the clipping process. We recommend our Hydrating Mud Bath shampoo to help soothe any irritation that may occur. The Groomer must work close to the skin to remove the matted coat and although they are very careful, the possibility of irritation to the dog’s skin exists. You understand these risks and authorize us to proceed with the de-matting process. Please be sure to speak with our Groomer for the best methods of maintaining your dog's coat and prevent future matting. Click here to learn more.

  9. Our Groomers/Bathers are trained professionals. We reserve the right to alter or cease any service in the event our team determines it is in your dog's best interest or your dog displays aggressive behavior.
